We enjoyed a low-key spring break. Several weeks ago, Aaron suggested we have a "stay-cation" and work on home projects. In hindsight, that was an inspired idea. We would have had to stay home anyway. I'm glad we didn't have an exciting trip planned.
It was such a beautiful week. The weather was the warmest it has been all year. The days were sunny and nice. We worked in the yard and made some great progress.
Being outside in the spring makes me feel so good. I felt really nostalgic as I worked in the yard with Aaron, watching as our daughter played in the dirt and examined trees and flowers. I never want to forget moments like that.
I felt overwhelmed with gratitude. Having those two in my life is such a blessing. Even with all the uncertainty of the pandemic, I feel like all is well. Last week was such a refreshing and encouraging break that I needed.
