Our girl sleeps in a box.
It all started when my uncle got a new mattress for Christmas. We asked if we could have the large box it was shipped in because my plan was to let our daughter paint it. After a full day of box play, she was not ready to leave the box for bed time. Our daughter, who had previously requested to keep sleeping in a tent in the living room, asked if she could sleep in the box. I didn't want a sleeping box in the living room. But the girl wanted the box in her bedroom, and we could see no harm in it. So we put it by her bed, thinking this would last a night or so.
It has now been two months, and she is still sleeping in this box. And she loves it, and it is totally fine.
The only thing that bothers me is that the box is falling apart. When she isn't sleeping in it, she jumps on it. It is torn and creased and dented. It doesn't even stay upright anymore. She claims to be okay with it being so "collapse-y". We think we will get her a new box soon. Hopefully saying goodbye to this old box won't be too painful.
